Tim A. Duncan

Born in Manchester, Tim started his love of music playing Tenor Horn with the Middleton Band under Gordon Dean. In 1976 Tim joined the celebrated Besses o’ th’ Barn Band and with tutorship from Ifor James and Michael Purton, began playing the French Horn. At the same time Tim began theory and compositional studies with Roy Heaton-Smith.

In these studios Tim worked on a wide range of musical styles and genre, and his work can be heard on many hit recordings.

From Ruby Turner, Joe Longthorne and Chris Farlow to the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra – as well as live work at the celebrated Band on the Wall in Manchester – Tim has a wealth of experience in performance, recording and writing music.
