Svetlana Berezhnaya

Svetlana Berezhnaya is a graduate of the Gnesin Institute, the Kazan State Conservatory from which she has also been awarded a Masters degree and has undertaken a traineeship at the Brabant Conservatory in Holland.

In 1992 Svetlana Berezhnaya was awarded the Diploma of the International Northern Palmira Festival, in 1996 she won First Prize at the International Organ Competition and in 2000 earned the title of the Honoured Artist of Russia.

Svetlana regularly performs with many orchestras and choirs including the Shostakovich Honoured Collective of the State Philharmonic in St. Petersburg, the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the State Philharmonic in Kavkazskiye Mineralnye Vody, the Hermitage Chamber Orchestra, the Province Chamber Orchestra, the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra in Kislovodsk, the Glinka State Choir, the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Kalmykia, the Russian Partes Chamber Choir in Moscow and the Tambov Chamber Choir. She has performed with many of the most respected conductors and soloists of Russia and Europe.

She is currently General Director and Organist of the Kavkazskiye Mineralnye Vody State Philharmonic. She regularly performs throughout Russia, Ukraine, Holland, Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland, USA and other countries.
